Identity Anchors

And although it is anchored in our identity in Christ, it is very different for each one of us – like a fingerprint, but one that we carry in our souls, a reflection of His image that we were created in, carrying the specific fragrance that we are to release here on earth for the Kingdom of Heaven.

Knowing who you are will bring you into whom you were meant to be.

IDENTITY ANCHORS

When we talk about identity, there are different understandings of what identity is, and even different layers of defining your identity.

At its most basic layer of identity is the labels we place on ourselves. We do this by defining who we are through the things we do, the things we like or don’t like, our personality type, our circumstances, our preferences, and even what other people say to us or about us. While some – or all – of this might be true, it will leave us unfulfilled because it cannot define the core of whom we were created to be. On top of that, if we did use this to define the core of our identity, we might completely miss the heart of the Father towards us and get boxed into the superficial tags attached to our personhood.

The next layer is what God says about whom we are based on our identity in Christ. This is a crucial part of our walk with God, and incredibly important in our journey toward our core identity. There are plenty of Scriptures in the Bible affirming our identity in Christ. We find some of the most well-known ones in Ephesians, but there are plenty throughout Scripture.

Some of the most important parts of our identity within Christ is listed below:

I am blessed.

I am loved.

I am chosen.

I am holy.

I am adopted.

I am redeemed.

I am forgiven.

I am reconciled.

It is crucial for us to understand that who we are in Christ is not in any way attached to our physical attributes, our capabilities, talents, achievements, the roles we fulfill within our families, career, church, or society, our circumstances, or how we are perceived either by ourselves or others.

The only determination that is relevant is what God says about us.

It is crucial to understand this because being settled in our identity in Christ will provide solid ground for our journey through life, enabling us to face the challenges of life armored with the truth of who we are in the eyes of God.

There is, however, another layer to our identity that goes even deeper than this. The core of our identity is that which was written into our DNA by the Father Himself. It explores on a very individual level the heart of the Father as He dreamt about each of His human children, and designed them for their specific journey upon this earth.

It reveals the depth of what specifically He had planned for every individual. And although it is anchored in our identity in Christ, it is very different for each one of us – like a fingerprint, but one that we carry in our souls, a reflection of His image that we were created in, carrying the specific fragrance that we are to release here on earth for the Kingdom of Heaven.

He knew you before you were born, and He knew the plans He had for you before you were knitted together in your mother’s womb. There are many, many scriptures confirming this, but here is one of the most well-known and most referred to in this regard: Jeremiah 1: 5, from the Amplified Version.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew [and] approved of you [as My chosen instrument], and before you were born I separated and set you apart, consecrating you; [and] I appointed you …”

Wouldn’t you love to know more of that identity? Or about the things He had spoken about you even before you were conceived?

This is what the Identity Anchors program is about.

Identity Anchors will help you discover your unique identity. It will help you discover what the Father has said about you as He was knitting you together in your mother’s womb. It will bring you to a greater understanding of your purpose on earth and the way you are called to reflect heaven on earth.

Identity Anchors is a biblically based and spiritually facilitated program designed to bring you into this deeper understanding of your core identity as determined by God when He created you, to explore the plans and purposes God has for you, and to help you step into that in greater measure than ever before.

The program consists of three parts building on one another.

Part 1: Replacing your flawed frame of reference

From the moment of our birth, we start building a frame of reference that determines our outlook on life. This includes our self-perception, how we perceive other people, and especially how we perceive God. Our perception of ourselves, others and God determines how we interact with others and with God as a Father, Jesus as Saviour, and the Holy Spirit as our Comforter and the One who empowers us to live in the power of God.

Experiences throughout our life – positive and negative, hurtful and kind, traumatic and empowering – are all stored within our frame of reference. It is crucial to deal with experiences that affect our frame of reference in a negative way and affects our ability to interact with God by living in accordance with Scripture and worshiping Him in Spirit and Truth.

Until we allow God to heal our wounds and replace the flawed aspects of our frame of reference with His foundational truth, we will not and cannot live from the identity He has created for us.

This part of the program consists of at least three sessions, but it can be more for some clients.

Part 2: Discovering the Father’s Song over you

In this second part of the program, we discover the words God has spoken over you while He was knitting you together in the Womb. The Bible teaches us that God knew us before we were created. This means He had a plan and a dream and a very specific purpose for each one of us from the foundation of the world.

Whilst He was busy creating us, He released this over us by knitting it into our very being.

Through suffering trauma many lost the ability to function from this core identity. This happens because unhealed trauma has profound effects on the way we view ourselves and the world around us. (This is why part 1 is so important to release our core identity.)

This part of the program consists of two steps. Firstly, we deal with all of the words that have been spoken over you by others, or that you have released over yourself, that contradict what God has been saying about you since He first created you in His mind at the foundation of the earth.

Secondly, we hear from Him what the truth is, and what words He has released over you whilst knitting you together in your mother’s womb. Often, this will be accompanied by a song of deliverance, that He sings over you specifically, thus breaking away your false identity and bringing you into the core identity He created within you.

This part of the program consists of a minimum of two sessions but can be more for some clients.

Part 3: Discovering your purpose as it is written in the Books of Heaven.

The Word is clear that God has a plan and purpose for every human on this earth. It is our responsibility to uncover that plan and purpose and to steward it well.

These plans and purposes are closely connected to the identity that has been woven into us at our creation in the womb. By having that identity revealed and understanding it, the path toward fulfilling our purpose on earth is uncovered and accelerated.

During this part of the program, we seek the heart of the Father to reveal what He has written about you in YOUR BOOK in heaven, and also to provide a strategy for you to enter into that purpose.

It is important to understand that this purpose is not necessarily linked to your career. It is your reason for being and reveals the heart of the Father towards you to partner with you in bringing His Kingdom Purposes to fulfillment on this earth.

This part of the program consists of one or two sessions, depending on the client.

Isaiah 49:1 AMP

The Lord has called me from the womb; from the body of my mother He has named my name.

Psalm 139:16 AMP

Your eyes saw my unformed substance, and in Your book all the days [of my life] were written before ever they took shape, when as yet there was none of them.
